Walter has learned to point out Elmo in his book. We have been reading his Elmo ABC book for the last few days. The book happens to have a picture of Elmo on every page, so as I turn each page, I ask "Where's Elmo? Can you find Elmo?" The first day I pointed out Elmo each time and then used Walter's hand to point to Elmo. By the next day, I could ask Walter to find Elmo, and he would bring his face down and put his mouth on Elmo. So he understood the game, if not the gesture. And he made me laugh. With a little encouragement, he is starting to use his fingers to point to Elmo. So cute.
