Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at our house this year. We finally convinced some of the family to travel down here to see us, so Mike's parents and his sister Katie came to visit. I cooked lots of food, and it all came out really good. I am proud of my first Thanksgiving dinner and I hope that I get to host again soon. We only had one mishap with the turkey. I was going to go all out and try to brine the turkey, since they always come out so good that way. Well, the stupid oven bag sprung a leak in my refrigerator and there was five gallons of liquid and turkey juice in my fridge. Sigh. But I managed to get it cleaned up before the guests arrived and the turkey just marinated in the dry seasonings. But the turkey actually came out tasting great anyway. All in all, a good experience. And it was great to see family again.
