Updates

• We got our Christmas decorations up last weekend. I am very excited. I can't believe it's almost Christmas.
• Well, Walter is crawling all over the house, exploring all the things he couldn't get to before. He's fascinated by the bookshelf, the front door, the tables... He hasn't managed to find the Christmas tree yet. That will be interesting. It makes me realize that I still have some babyproofing to do. And that I need to clean my floors. I will try to get a video to post later this week. I need a better video camera.
• Mike put on LT yesterday. Congratulations to Mike. It's a great accomplishment and it comes with a pay raise. :)
• Mike had gum surgery yesterday. Keep him in your prayers. It's a relatively simple outpatient surgery, but there is a pretty high risk of infection. He had to go right back to work today. Poor guy is on a liquid diet for a few days and can't even brush his teeth or swish mouthwash for two days. And he can't take any prescription medicine because it will disqualify him from standing watch. So he's taking lots of ibuprofen. Pray that he heals well and quickly.
• Our hot water heater broke on Sunday and we don't have hot water. I'm not the kind of girl that does without hot showers. We figured out what's wrong with it and now we have it set so that we can take sort-of warm showers, which is okay for now. They have to ship us a new water heater and it is going to take several days to get here. The good news is that the manufacturer is sending the new water heater for free and we just have to pay for the installation. Hopefully it gets here soon.
